Coventry University Golf Club

The CUGC (Est 2014), was founded to facilitate and promote golf for students across the University, of all differing abilities. The range of opportunities we offer are appropriately varied, to tailor for the needs of the beginner, through to the more established players. Accordingly, our club is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students, including those attending the university from abroad.

With a strong sense of community and offering opportunities to all abilities, we run 2 weekly training sessions, directed by a local PGA pro at the Warwickshire Golf Course, as well as “get into golf” driving range sessions every Tuesday Evening. For the more experienced players, we frequent local courses such as Hearsall, Brand Wood and Copeswood every Wednesday Afternoon.

We are proud to be able to field a strong, diverse team of single-figure and mid-handicap players, who compete with other regional institutions, as well as the end of year Varsity match against Warwick.

The club comprises of a very social and friendly group of like-minded students, and we are always looking to invite more people into our club. Golf is a great way to meet new people and make close friends, but most importantly it is always exciting, competitive, and fun out on the course.

If you are interested in becoming a member, or would like to find out more of the great exclusive opportunities we can offer to you as a member, please contact us or find us at Coventry University Students Union.
